Reliable selection of each needle is ensured by the modules fitted to each system, which do allow up to 1200 selections per second. These selection blocks are produced by the German company Harting KGaA, and are running for a long time on a lot of knitting machines all over the world.
The accurate control of each needle is guaranteed by intelligent amplifiers, fixed directly on the blocks. Modern microprocessors select synchronous every needle for welt, tuck and knit via the selection flaps. By means of a standard CAN bus system the selection systems are connected to the main control unit. This unit controls all system functions, displays the actual state of the machine, and reports any problem or malfunction in clear language, in which case the machine will be stopped.
The pattern can be made on a standard PC with MS-Windows and a colour screen, using non-expensive standard painting software or a special patterning design program. Patterns can be painted or scanned, changed on the screen and printed on a colour printer. Ready designed pattern can be transmitted to the machine and immediate knitted, after the yarn is fitted correctly. Some patterns can be stored directly in the controller and downloaded to the machine whenever required.
Change of colours or switching off particular systems is possible in a user kindly way direct at the screen.
